PTP Update 2026

PTP Update 2026

What's New!

From 2026 onwards, there will be 2MFA implemented with PTP log in.

On Tuesday the 17th of July K2 Medical Systems are releasing several exciting improvements to the K2MS Perinatal Training Programme (PTP), including:
  • Easier access to your training. All chapters will be accessible on your iPad or tablet device
  • More focussed fetal physiology training. The Acid Base chapter will be split into smaller Fetal Physiology and Cord Blood Gas Analysis chapters. Choose topics most relevant to you
  • More flexible CTG simulation options. You can choose to go straight into simulator assessment mode if you want to, or be guided through training mode to enhance your CTG interpretation skills

Easier access to your training

What is HTML-Flash? HTML is accessible on all mobile devices and web browsers, Flash is not.
Our chapters are now available in HTML so you can view your training across all devices, including iPads or tablets. Please note that the CTG simulator is currently not accessible on mobile devices (HTML) with plans to develop this in the near future.
Should you face difficulty viewing the chapters in the new format, you can revert to the Flash version by simply clicking the toggle on your Home Page under the heading 'Content Setting'.

More focused fetal physiology training

The Acid Base and Fetal Physiology Chapter will be split into two smaller chapters:

Fetal Physiology                                   Cord Blood Gas Analysis

Please be reassured that any of your current progress through any part of the old chapter will be retained and reflected in each of the new, smaller chapters.
We have also added a ‘Provide Feedback’ button to the top right-hand corner of all chapter pages so you can easily send feedback to K2. Your feedback will be reviewed, and any specific questions or issues addressed

More flexible CTG simulation options

You will be able to choose from CTG Simulator Training or Assessment Simulator without waiting 7 days before accessing assessment simulator, with both modes available from the home page.

Training Simulator

  • allows you to select from a variety of interesting cases
  • provides feedback and expert guidance throughout each case
  • you can return to the case list part way through and start a new case if you choose

Assessment Simulator

  • you will be assigned a random case with the case ID withheld
  • once you complete the case, the case ID will be revealed along with your assessment scores

We hope that you enjoy the new features. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,
